Candyspace take home four awards at 2023 BIMA Awards

We’re delighted to announce that we recently won four awards at the 2023 BIMA Awards, including Member of the Year and three awards for the launch of ITVX in partnership with ITV.

In a ceremony on 21 November, the Candyspace team was awarded Silver in the Member of the Year category, celebrating a commercially successful year and our continued commitment to diversity and inclusion. 

The Member of the Year award recognises agencies that go above and beyond to drive innovation through knowledge sharing, showcasing best practice and developing talent. 

Candyspace were commended for our Now+Next and Drive Forward initiatives, which aim to encourage schoolgirls and young people leaving the care system to pursue careers in digital and technology through regular work experience and mentorship programmes.

We also received three awards for our work on the launch of ITVX, in partnership with ITV, achieving Silver in both the Digital Product Build and Transformation Project categories and Bronze in Popular Culture.

As ITV’s strategic partner for over a decade, we were tasked to work with the broadcaster to deliver their most ambitious project to date. 

Since launching in December 2022, ITVX has become one of the UK’s biggest streaming services, with over 20,000 hours of entertainment from a wealth of content partners.

Since its launch, ITVX has achieved:

  • Reached 2.5 billion streams in its first year
  • Delivered a 33% increase in total streaming hours in Jan-Jun 2023 (compared to the same period in 2022)
  • Increased light viewers by 93% in the first six months of 2023
