Candyspace win CSR award at UK Agency Awards

We’re thrilled to announce that Candyspace has received the Best Charitable/Social Responsibility Initiative award at the 2024 UK Agency Awards for our commitments to redressing the gender imbalance in technology roles and opening up careers to more socially-inclusive demographics. 

Social responsibility, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of what makes Candyspace thrive. Our vision is to create digital products that are loved by everyone, and we can only do that if those products are informed by a diverse range of ideas, perspectives, backgrounds and experiences.

We have company-wide commitments, with three central initiatives - Women in Technology, Social Inclusion and Diversity in Recruitment - and partnerships with two charities.

Our Women in Technology initiative, Now+Next aims to redress the gender imbalance in the digital and technology industry by inspiring young women through understanding possibilities, providing connections and gaining experience in data, design and technology. Since launching in 2022, Now+Next has reached over 5,000 school aged girls from schools across inner London.

We also place a strong focus on providing career opportunities regardless of social, educational and financial backgrounds. To help us deliver on this, we have continued our partnership with the Drive Forward Foundation. Drive Forward provides young adults leaving foster or residential care with exciting and sustainable employment opportunities, helping them to achieve their full potential.

The UK Agency Awards celebrate the impact that agencies of all sizes and specialities are making across the UK. We’re proud to have been recognised for our work.
