We are thrilled that four of our talented team have been recognised in this year’s BIMA 100 list.
Every year the BIMA 100 celebrates the pioneers shaping the future of Britain's digital industry. In 2023, four Candyspacers have been named in the BIMA 100. The recognition is a testament to the talent, passion and ambition of our team.
The Candyspacers who made this year’s list are:
- Alison Retz, recognised in the Client Services & Project Management category for the delivery of ITV's ambitious new streaming service, ITVX in December 2022. ITVX was an incredibly complex project that required skilled coordination to ensure everyone knew what the aims were and how they were going to achieve them. Alison’s committed and collaborative approach to the project allowed the three specialty teams to work together in order to deliver the product to a high standard, ensuring that ITVX launched with immediate success.
- Isabella Bencardino is a BIMA 100 2023 Rising Star, representing a new generation of developers. Isabella demonstrates a considered approach to her work, and approaches every challenge she’s encountered as a new iOS developer on the ITVX team as an exciting opportunity to learn and develop her skills. In her first role as an iOS developer, she has contributed to the successful launch of a major, new digital platform for a household name client and has done so with incredible enthusiasm.
- Seye Olokode, a Champion for Change: People for the second year running. Seye is dedicated to bringing employment opportunities in technology and digital to young people in diverse and under-represented communities in southeast London. In 2022, Seye has continued to dedicate his time to outreach work and has shaped Candyspace from within to help us create a more inclusive and accessible culture within the digital and technology industry for the talent he is uplifting, making him a true champion for change in 2023.
- Managing Director Matt Simpson. Matt has been recognised in the CEO & Leaders category for his human-first approach to leadership, keeping the people who work at Candyspace at its heart. Matt has been responsible for a considerable shift in culture at Candyspace and has personally championed and driven the agency’s initiatives around social inclusion and women in technology. Matt has led by example and driven Candyspace’s thought leadership reputation, authoring white papers and opinion pieces, leading webinars, speaking at industry events and participating in panels and discussions.
Tom Thorne, CEO of Candyspace commented "We're thrilled to have multiple Candyspacers named in The BIMA 100 for a second year in a row. Their nominations are a true testament to their talent and their embodiment of Candyspace's values."
